Surrey RCMP Fatally Shoots Autistic Youth
Surrey RCMP responded to a report from the public about a person with a gun. Instead of assessing the situation carefully, officers came in with guns blazing and shot the individual—who may have only been holding a toy gun, possibly just playing cops and robbers.
This raises serious concerns about police training, use of force, and accountability. How many more tragedies like this will it take before real change happens?

Where is the Transparency?
I question where are the RCMP body cameras and dash cameras when the public deserves to see the truth—especially in cases like the deadly shooting of an autistic youth.
The RCMP has a long history of lacking proper mental health training. Too often, officers escalate situations instead of de-escalating them. People struggling with mental health issues aren’t given the care they need—they’re met with force, lies, and even death for simply existing.
Accountability matters. The public deserves answers.
As an Autistic Person, I Want Answers
Where is the de-escalation training that the RCMP is supposed to have? A young autistic person was just killed in Surrey by officers responding to a call. Instead of calming the situation, they opened fire.
Time and time again, police across Canada fail to handle mental health crises properly. As someone who is autistic, this deeply concerns me. How many more lives will be lost before real change happens?
